Two Healths was born out of a desire to be better
Our journey began with a simple mission: to create a truly halal, alcohol-free vanilla products that aligned with our values — without sacrificing taste or quality
As a muslim mum and home baker, I was unhappy with the quality of vanilla extracts and pastes on the market. Some products contained undeclared alcohol, while others were made with poor quality ingredients and artificial flavours, fragrances, and fillers.
As a food and pharmaceutical consultant with a background in law and medical science, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I wanted a product that was actually halal and actually good. I started to experiment with different vanilla pods and formulations and was on to a winner! I started to make vanilla extract and paste for myself, my family and friends. People started asking if I would sell my extract and so Two Healths was born! We got a food manufacturing license and had our products third-party tested by an accredited lab to ensure that every product is of the highest quality.
And why 'Two Healths'? Two Healths is the direct translation of 'صحتین' or 'Sahtain,' the commonly used levanti expression which we use to wish our loved ones a happy and nourishing meal. It's a term loaded with love and hospitality that underpins my Lebanese culture.
My faith drives my work, so we are committed to donating a portion of all profits to charity. Our donations are currently being donated to support the provision of food, water, and other essential supplies in Gaza.

What's the difference between vanilla extract and vanilla paste?
Our alcohol-free vanilla extract is made by steeping organically grown grade A vanilla pods in a mix of vegetable glycerine and water, allowing the vanilla flavours and compounds to be slowly extracted. The final product is a brown liquid with some vanilla specs.
Our alcohol-free vanilla paste is made using ground up grade A vanilla pods and some of our vanilla extract to create a thick, gel like paste. The end product is rich and full of vanilla specs.
Should I get the vanilla extract or paste?
For general baking, our alcohol-free vanilla extract is a versatile companion - great for all sorts of desserts and sweet treats. Our alcohol-free vanilla paste takes the vanilla flavour to the next level, so we think this is the better option for desserts that are not baked. Why not try both?
How should I store my products?
Our alcohol-free vanilla extract and alcohol-free vanilla paste are packed in amber glass jars. We recommend that you keep them in a cool dry place to maintain the integrity of the products.
How long can the products be stored?
Both our products were formulated to ensure a long shelf life - we have bottles that are five years old and still going strong. As long as the smell does not change, your product is good to use for years (if you can stop yourself from using it on everything!)
